L.A. Girls Cosmetic Matte Pigment Gloss Review

DISCLAIMER: If you are reading this for the first time, scroll down to where it says “Happy Monday” and read my full review, on L.A. Girl matte pigment  lipgloss. The first half of this is post is an update.

Hey yall I have an update!!!! I was watching my favorite YouTube channel:

IrisBeilin, I absolutely love her! Not only is her makeup the bomb she has a great personality to match. At the end of her video she was getting ready to apply her matte liquid lipstick by Dose of Colors and she stated that she prepped her lips first by using M.A.C Prep and Prime, to keep her lips from being dry. So I thought “I wonder if that would work for the L.A Girl Cosmetics matte pigment gloss, and….20150413_074039 (1)

It did!!! It went on a lot smoother and totally reduced the stickiness. They still aren’t my favorite compared to the ones by Sephora, (sephora brand) Kat Von D (which is released new colors online!! at Sephora.com ) and Anastasia Beverly Hills, but they aren’t horrible, especially now since I learned this new trick. Now I haven’t tried it on the other 3 brands because honestly the formula for those has not given me any issues at all.  But it really made all the difference for the matte pigment gloss. So I would recommend trying this method before applying, if you don’t have the M.A.C prep and primer I’m sure any primer will do. Let know what you think 🙂

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was okay considering the weather was pretty blah (rain really puts a damper on things). 😦  But I’m over it and ready to give you a review on my new matte lipsticks.

So if you’ve you been following my blog or know me personally, you know I am obsessed with any kind of lip gloss or lipstick. My latest addiction is liquid lipstick. They go on wet and dry as a matte finish. There are a lot on the market right now however not all of them are created equal. My Favorite is Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in the color “Berlin”. It retails for $20.00 and can be purchased at Sephora. It is truly long lasting and highly pigmented, Here is a pic:IMG_20150614_172216 (1)

But that’s not what I want to talk about lol back to the topic. So last week I purchased 3 of the 16 colors of Matte Pigment Gloss on Ebay . It was quite the steal I think I paid a little under $12.00 for them with free shipping. On the L.A. Girl Cosmetics Website they retail for $5.00 a piece. They launched about 3 months ago so it was about time to give them a try.

I can’t say that they are my favorite but they are pretty decent. It’s one of these “you get what you pay for” situations. They are definitely pigmented but they don’t dry as well as I’d like, it’s like a sticky finish. They promote them as a matte pigment gloss that lasts and lasts well… it doesn’t lol. It comes off when you drink, eat, kiss etc. Unlike the Kat Von D. brand. Now this could of just been a bad batch who knows, I’m just giving my experience with them.

They go on pretty well, I did have to apply “Backstage” a few times to make the color even and stand out. So that was good and as I stated earlier my only true issue with them is how they dry. So would I recommend them? Eh for $5.00 bucks why not, maybe you can put some simple magic on it and make it work for you lol I don’t know.

If you’d like to see a review on my favorite liquid lipsticks let me know! But as always I hope this post was helpful. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe and share with a friend; sharing is caring 🙂 Until next time…
