Hello Beautiful people of the world!!
Today I bring you my long over due top picks for the month of July. July was a beauty dud for me I didn’t really see any eye catching products that I wanted to try (with the exception of the few I am going to talk about).
So what did I get?? Well if you have been under a rock for the last two months let me be the first to tell you that NYX Cosmetics launched their first liquid lipstick line, called “Liquid Suede” cream lipstick ((aaaaahhh the crowd goes wild)). How exciting right? Let me tell you these lipsticks are the bomb. As of lately you know liquid lipsticks are my thang! And these ones are winners for sure. They come in 12 dope shades, and on their website they went as far as too give swatches of all the colors on different skin tones to give you an idea how it would look with your tone (how sweet). Here is the swathes on medium skin tone(cause that’s me :-)):
I decided to jump out the box and get “Sway and “Stone Fox” I really, really like stone fox a lot. It’s definitely a good color for a night out and in my opinion you can wear it all year round (break beauty norms people!) Sway is perfect for spring and the summer it’s a deep lilac color, that is guaranteed to make your lips POP!
Next up Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick 🙂 she launched 16 new shades late July and I snagged “Echo” the last one at my local Sephora (winning!!!) It’s like a deep midnight blue, it’s so mysterious I just love it. Hands down my favorite of them all, however the “Liquid Suede” is a close 2nd. Although they dry with a matte finish i’ts not overly drying to my lips. Here’s a tip** before applying liquid lipstick apply primer to your lips first, it will help the lipstick to last and keep it from making your lips look crackly and sticky**
Who doesn’t love a good black eyeliner?? Well I tried out a new one from Rimmel London Scandaleyes “Thick & Thin eyeliner” It has a felt tip which allows better control of the product in my opinion, because you don’t have to worry about dipping it in and out of the liner extracting too much or too little. I tend to like a thinner wing when I apply my liner so it worked perfect for me. And there you have it my July Favorites, hopefully in August I will have a few more goodies for you to try 🙂 If you have tried these products, let me know how you like them. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe or share with a friend 🙂 sharing is caring! Until next time…
Be Blessed Beauties,
