We are on day 8 already can you believe it?? This has been quite fun actually, I like being able to connect with you everyday. Sometimes it’s hard to come up with original ideas for you guys, so this little beauty challenge has been helpful in that regard. So today is going to be about my “holy grail makeup products”. If you have been following my blog for a while you will notice reoccurring items, so brace yourself lol. At least you know I mean what I say, when I say I love these products. So let’s just jump right into it shall we?!?! 🙂
- First up Laura Mercier setting powder. This is new to my list, but it has been love at first sight, ever since I purchased it. If you have not tried it, I would def recommend it. It is a little pricey but you can get the small container for around $25.00 if your’re not ready to jump right in. I have been using it to set my highlight under my eyes and then a light dusting over my whole face. It makes my foundation look absolutely flawless and the high light under my eyes so natural.
2. Next L.A. Girl cosmetics Pro concealer. Ladies (and gents) I have said it before and I will say it again. Don’t miss out on spending the best $2.99 of your life. This concealer is the BOMB!! They have a range of shades and recently added color correctors to their collection. They glide on smooth and are the perfect pigment for blending.
3.I can’t choose between the next two items because they both have been so good to me. I have blogged about them before. They are my MAC studio fix foundation and Maybelline Fit me Matte foundation. MAC studio is a full coverage foundation, it’s a little bit heavier than the Fit me foundation but both give such a beautiful finish. If you are not willing to purchase the studio fix I would def recommend purchasing the Fit Me foundation for a mere $6.00. They have a whole line which is awesome! You can get the foundation, concealer, and finishing powder for a little under $20.00.
4.Can’t make a list without brow products right? My go to that has yet to fail me is the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade. I like this because once you do your brows they aren’t going anywhere lol. You can use as much or as little product as you like which is great for switching up your makeup looks.
5.Liquid lipsticks are my thing these days. I get lazy when I leave the house, so anything that is going to help my makeup last so I don’t have to reapply it, I’m all about that life (OK!!) Kat Von D hit the nail on the head with her formula. They go on easily, and are not over drying on the lips. It is hands down my favorite of all the ones I tried (Sephora, Anastasia Beverly hills, Maybelline, and NYX, etc.). Now don’t get me wrong I like the other ones too, but If I have to pick…the MVP goes to Kat Von D. And they are only $20.00.
6.Vaseline is a must, I just did a post about vaseline beauty hacks a few weeks ago. Vaseline is just a good product to have around. It is great for makeup remover, softening hands, feet, and moisturizing your lips. This is one thing I use every single day, even if I’m not wearing any makeup. Check out my post about it here: https://beautybyelyse.net/2015/11/08/3-beauty-hacks-using-vaselinepetroleum-jelly/
7. Lastly I’m going to go with NYC Sky Rise mascara. I legit keep one in my car lol. It’s cheap and it works, that’s the bottom line. It may not be the best but I love it. It gives me a natural looking lash when I’m not looking to do to much to my face. It doesn’t clump and the brush is great for getting your lower lash line.
And there you have it my “holy grail makeup products”. Tell me what your go to products are, what can’t you live without? As always I hope you enjoyed this post. Until next time …
