Day 11: Favorite Hair Products

Hey Beauties Happy Friday πŸ™‚

I hope that your Friday is going well and you are ready for the weekend. I know I am!! Today’s post is going to be about my favorite hair products. I only use a few things in my hair so this should be short and sweet.

For shampoo and conditioner I am currently using OGX Biotin & Collagen system. I really like how it makes my hair feel after it has been washed. It doesn’t make my hair dry or crunchy at all. I like that it has biotin and collagen in it because I am trying to grow and maintain strong healthy hair; and those two agents really aid in that process.

To keep my scalp and hair moisturized I used a combination of essential oils and coconut oil. The coconut oil I use is natural and unrefined so it’s solid, but as soon as you rub it in the palm of your hands it melts. It has no real smell and it’s very light so it doesn’t weigh down my hair which I love. Β coconuts-Coconut-oil-on-spoon.jpg

There are many great benefits to using coconut oil, not just for your hair but for your health in general. It’s good for dry skin, digestion, and strengthening your immune system; in addition to keeping your hair healthy and shiny.

For my essential oils I use Avocado oil as a carrier oil and then I add rosemary, and lavender oil. If you have never used essentials make sure you do your research on the ones you are going to use because although they are good for you, in their purest state that can be harmful on their own. That is why it is so important to mix them with a carrier oil, like jojoba oil, almond oil, avocado oil, even coconut oil.

My hair used to be really thick when I was younger, but after years of relaxing and ponytails and other bad hair habits it has gotten thinner, so I use the rosemary to promote healthy hair growth. In addition to these products I also take 5000 mcg of the vitamin Biotin. I have noticed significant growth in my hair with this vitamin, length wise not necessarily thicker hair.

My last favorite product would have to be JAM lol. I have tried many gels over the years but I always come back to this. I don’t want to use it because of all the synthetic ingredients, plus the alcohol which is Β just not good for your hair. However I like it because it’s soft pliable gel. I don’t have to worry about my hair getting stuck or matted together, or breaking off when I go to wash it out. I am in the market for a healthier gel though so if you have any suggestions please let me know πŸ™‚

As always I hope that you enjoyed my post and thank you for taking time out to read my post πŸ™‚ Until next time…
