Hey Hey Beauties!!
Happy Tuesday, I hope that you all had a great weekend. For those of you that were caught in the winter storm over the weekend, I hope you survived the cold lol 🙂
So yesterday was my one year anniversary with WordPress!!! They sent me a message saying yesterday was the day I first registered. I think my actual post wasn’t until February though. Either way YAY! me 🙂 I have learned so much this past year blogging and growing with makeup, I can’t wait to see what this year will bring.
Today is a fun post (in my opinion). I haven’t done a makeup look since the holidays, so we are long over due! I’d like to call this look “Thank you berry much” I used a lot of matte and shimmery “berry” shades to create this look.
Face: Nars luminous foundation, Brows: NYX brow pencil and Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade, Concealer: MAC Pro longwear (under my eyes) and Maybelline fit me (under my brows), Cheeks: BH Cosmetics pro blush palette, Highlight: “So Hollywood” by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
Eyes: For my base eye shadow I used “Uninterrupted” by MAC.
Next I used a peachy/pink shade from my Special Occasions Palette by BH Cosmetics. This palette has no names for the colors, so bare with me lol. Next I applied a magenta like color to my lid, to deepen the color I added the dark wine shade (with a little bit of black). Blending is key here!! I say it all the time because it is so important, harsh lines aren’t cute lol.
Next I added “Sequin” by Color pop cosmetics for a hint of shimmer. For my lower lash line I mixed the dark wine shade with a light brown. Lashes are always optional (but you know I love lashes) The ones I am using I got from Shopmissa.com for $1.o0, I stacked two pair together to give the lashes more volume.
Lips: Are a combination of colors because let’s face it, one color just doesn’t get the job done sometimes. First I lined my lips with L.A Girl cosmetics “Cabaret”, then I went over it with “Abu Dhabi” matte lip cream by NYX, and lastly I took NK lip liner in “Indigo” (a dark purple) and filled in my lips. It seems like a lot of steps but it really isn’t.
And here is my finished look:
As always I hope you enjoyed this post. Tell me what you think of this post, and what looks you have been trying lately :-). Until next time…
Be Blessed Beauties,
